Covid-19 cases in the UK are expected to escalate rapidly.

From now, we are asking our staff to:

  • Continue with good hygiene, including washing hands with soap and hot water regularly.
  • Sanitise their desk/work area, door handles, phones, steering wheels & driving controls, etc., daily using the bleach spray and paper roll provided.
  • Limit close contact with others as far as possible, considering carefully your actions outside of work too.

If they develop ANY of the well-publicised symptoms of infection (a NEW dry cough or a temperature) they should not attend work under any circumstances.

If they believe they are at greater risk of infection or have underlying health issues meaning they could be disproportionately affected, they should inform management immediately.

Orders, quotes and deliveries can still be arranged at this time, but we appreciate their may be some reluctance to as the situation develops. Our team will be following appropriate guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of our customers, but please let us know if you have any special requests and we will do our best to accommodate.

We should prepare imminently for changing our working practices to reduce physical proximity (social distancing). This could mean changes to working hours and using our workspaces differently.

We very much appreciate everyone’s co-operation during what is expected to be a challenging time over the weeks ahead.

2. Add your loft opening(s)

Reline

Typically you would need a reline if you have the following:

  • Plastic frame
  • Metal frame
  • Timber framework is tired or poorly constructed

New reline includes

  • Removal of old framework
  • Replacing with new liner and architrave

Boxing in Loft Zone

This is boxing in the loft zone to seal around the hatch to stop the insulation from falling down.

Includes

  • Chipboard or MDF for sealing around the hatch
  • Installation

Modify Existing Opening

If your current hatch is not the correct size for a ladder of choice or if you need more space for moving storage.

Includes

  • Extending existing opening
  • Rebuild
  • Reline with Liner and Architrave

New Opening

If your current hatch is in the wrong place or need it moved for structural issues.

Includes

  • Reposition hatch to new location
  • Reline and Architrave
  • New framework
  • Close old opening (plasterboard)

Does not include plastering existing hatch.

3. Add your trap door

Please note: if your loft hatch does not hinge down you will need to select one of our trap doors below.

Insulated Draftproof Trap Door

If your current door is one of the following:

  • Broken or letting draft through
  • Pushes up instead of swinging open
  • Does not have any insulation

  • Draft-proof trap door (MDF)

Plastic Loft Hatch

Includes

  • Durable plastic loft hatch

4. Add your lighting and sockets

Thomas and Luke did an excellent job with the new ladder. They arrived on time, and the job took around 3 hours. They fitted a new concertina ladder in the existing hatch and they've done a very nice job. Getting in and out of the loft will be so much easier now instead of carting ladders around the house! They made sure to keep to a safe distance (work was done during coronavirus pandemic) and they did a nice job tidying up afterwards.
